Target Audience


This course is intended for Programme managers and executives who will be using Microsoft Project Web Access to manage projects at the departmental or enterprise level.

Course Objectives


On completion of this course, you will be able to:

Utilize Project Web Access enterprise-level resource management tools;

Establish and manage a project portfolio;

Create and use portfolio modeling tools;

Generate and use custom reports across the project portfolio.

Prerequisites


A working knowledge of Microsoft Project is useful but not essential.

Course Content


This 1-day class introduces the many new enterprise-level features of Project Web Access. On this course you will learn how to: ·

Manage generic resources in the "local" and "global" environments ·

Import resources into the enterprise global resource

Work with enterprise resources using custom fields

Define and create outline codes for resource substitution

Employ the Resource Substitution Wizard and Team Builder to create project teams

Manage a project portfolio using the new Enterprise Project functions, including:

Working with versions, trend analysis, and what-if scenarios

Using portfolio modeling to evaluate changes to projects

Working with the new Vision View, including using an OLAP Cube

Work with the resource views to assess resource availability and usage across the project portfolio

Create and use custom reports with Enterprise Project
